18 useful things you can do with your time, if you're stuck at home.

Unfortunately many of us are now faced with spending extra time at home (thanks to the the awful virus). So let’s use this time towards something useful and productive!

If you are in isolation or just bored at home, we have put a list together of how you can get the most out of your time.

1) Buy vouchers or gift cards for your favourite local business

Many business is struggling right now, support your favourite business by buying gift cards and vouchers that you that redeem when this is all over!

2) Play games

Take it back to basics and entertain yourself the old way, traditional board games!

3) Organise clutter / clean your home

Time to get a spring clean done! do what you’ve been putting off for so long!

4) Read a book

Take time to appreciate books again - immerse yourself in a story.

5) Watch/listen to a Ted Talk

Learn something new with the help of a Ted Talk!

6) Look at pictures of dogs

7) Call a friend or family member

Call someone you haven’t spoke to in a while. Reconnect to combat loneliness!

8) Bake something new

Grasp this opportunity to get better at baking! The people around you will be grateful!

9) Play with your pet

Don't have a pet? You might find comfort in the fact animals have no idea what's going on and their owners are suddenly just around a lot more!

10) Meditate

Take time for mindfulness, this uncertain situation might cause anxiety and stress.

11) Watch Netflix

Treat yourself to a guilt free watch of Netflix! There are some great documentaries.

Have a read of our blog posts and get to know us a bit better!

13) Gardening

Just because you're stuck at home doesn't mean you have to be cooped up inside.

Get creative and make a MJW that is personal to you, with all your favourite elements.

15) Start your own blog

A blog is a great way to document and make sense of what you're experiencing!

16) Try and learn a language

Never had the time to learn a language? Now is the time - I recommend using Duolingo!

17) FaceTime your friends or family

Just because you're at home doesn't mean you can't keep in contact, up lift those around you with a quick FaceTime.

18) Work out at home

Staying fit will benefit your mental health and your immune system.
