Dovile Bertulyte in her jewellery-making studio
Ever wondered who made your Mr Jones watch?
Meet Dovile (a.k.a. Dove “like a bird”). She worked on the delicate part of putting your watch together.
Tell us something interesting about you?
Well… I’m from Lithuania. I moved to the UK in 2009 to study conceptual jewellery.
Now, I’m a jewellery designer / maker and I work on the assembly of Mr Jones Watches.

What do you do for fun?
I travel as often as I can. My most recent trip was to Japan (which was amazing!)
I love spending my free time in nature – exploring forests, swimming in the wilderness, mushroom foraging (which is quite a typical Lithuanian thing) and watching wild animals.

Wow! What’s your favourite animal to watch?
I’m not sure I can choose! I love all animals, like everything – even snakes and iguanas!
But I guess if I have to choose a few it would be: elephants, orangutans, pandas, koalas and llamas. I like funny, playful animals.
Tell us more about your jewellery?
I love making things with my own two hands.
After I graduated, the Prince’s Trust awarded me a studio space at Cockpit Arts. From there, I got to start my own contemporary jewellery brand: ‘dovile b’.
Travelling inspires me and I like to tell stories through my designs. Like my Nautilus collection, it’s completely inspired by the crazy textures and odd looking creatures that I’ve seen in the sea. I’m obsessed with underwater landscapes!

We have to ask.. what’s your favourite Mr Jones Watch?
I have the Vingt Mille. I love the Jules Verne story and the fun squid design – looking at my wrist always reminds me of travelling!
