Powered by your movement
This watch is powered by a Miyota 9015 automatic mechanical movement. This means the watch is powered by the
everyday motion of your wrist.
A weight within the mechanism rotates in response to normal movement and transfers this energy to winding up the
mainspring.
When you first receive your watch (or if you leave it unattended for a few days), the main spring will run down. To wind it up you simply need to set it to the right time and strap it to your wrist: the spring will wind up by itself.

The Artist
Edward Carvalho-Monaghan
Edward is a master of reductive storytelling: creating complex narratives with a few simple lines that make an increasing amount of sense the more you stare at them.
“There’s never enough time in the day to worry about keeping track of hours, months and years are the appropriate planning horizon.
With that in mind, the design prioritises the date giving space to the longer arcs of time while letting the rest melt into the surreal textures of the design.”
Made in London
Each colour you see in the design was mixed by hand, before being airbrushed and printed layer by layer and assembled by our dedicated workshop team here in London.
Every printable surface is used, from the dial to the date ring, the underside of the crystal to the automatic rotor on the movement. The result is a layered, shifting composition that changes constantly as time moves forward.

Edward describes the Odyssey watch design:
“There’s never enough time in the day to worry about keeping track of hours, months and years are the appropriate planning horizon.
With that in mind, the design prioritises the date giving space to the longer arcs of time while letting the rest melt into the surreal textures of the design.”
Edward Carvalho-Monaghan graduated from Central St Martins School of Art & Design in 2014. Since graduating he has worked for a diverse range of clients, from fashion brand Hermès, to newspapers The Guardian and The New York Times.
Edward is a master of reductive storytelling: creating complex narratives with a few simple lines that make an increasing amount of sense the more you stare at them.
While he readily cites psychedelic music and the work of avant-garde filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky as strong influences, it’s his desire to create work that doesn’t draw on visual references or pander to stylistic trends, that makes him such an exciting talent.
